“Scoglio del Vervece”, zone A of the Punta Campanella MPA. Site fully protected and inaccessible in order to protect the rich biodiversity present on the sea bottom. The Scoglio del Vervece is a kind of sanctuary for sailors and divers, with a submerged statue of the Virgen placed at a depth of 12 meters (40 feets) to celebrate the historic freediving record of the great Enzo Maiorca.
“Punta della Campanella”, zone B of the Punta Campanella MPA. The spectacular promontory divides the Gulf of Naples from the Gulf of Salerno with the watchtower dominating the landscape on both sides. In the past, the site housed a temple dedicated to the goddess Minerva, and an epigraph from the third century BC is still visible on the rock face.
Bath in Ieranto Bay, zone B of the Punta Campanella MPA. A place of timeless charm. A rich marine biodiversity, with more than 270 species surveyed, in a unique setting of Mediterranean scrub and remnants of industrial archaeology. Swimming in this emerald sea, surrounded by lush and wild nature, is an unparalleled experience.
Crapolla Fjord, Zone B of the Punta Campanella MPA. An enchanting inlet between two steep cliffs with a small, pretty beach in the center. It is among the most beautiful places on the entire coast and is rich in history with the remains of an abbey dedicated to St. Peter, who, according to the legend, landed here on his way to Rome.
Punta Sant'Elia and “Scaricatoio,” zones B and C of the Punta Campanella MPA, in the municipalities of Sant'Agnello and Piano di Sorrento. At Sant'Elia, the presence of a small chapel and the remains of a gateway testify to the ancient presence of fishermen. The “Scaricatoio,” on the other hand, was a landing point for the embarkation and disembarkation of goods.
Tordigliano beach, zone C of the Punta Campanella MPA. It is the largest beach in the marine protected area, unspoiled and wild. At the far end is Punta Germano, in the territory of the municipality of Vico Equense, the southern boundary of the MPA.
Positano. The pearl of the Amalfi coast, seen from the sea, has an unparalleled beauty with its shape of pyramid set in the rock and the colors of its characteristic little houses.
Bath at “ I Galli”, zone B of the Punta Campanella MPA.Three islets that were already famous during antiquity that form a small and striking archipelago a few miles away from the coast. In the past, it was home to the great Russian ballet dancers Massine and Nureyev. Swimming here, with a fantastic sea and breathtaking views, is an unforgettable experience.
Capri's Faraglioni. Only 3 nautical miles divide Punta Campanella from the azure island. On the return trip we will pass through the famous “mouths of Capri” to get a unique view of the spectacular “faraglioni”.
