In the memories of all the madonites, there is that day when grandma made bread. The maidda (wooden container used for the dough) in the center of the table, flour and water, the delicate but at the same time energetic arms of the grandmother who put together the ingredients; all the children standing on the chairs to watch, confident that she would make them try their hand at that ancient and magical art. Then the oven was turned on, strictly with wood, and became the occasion to make cookies and toast almonds, to create indelible memories of farinate hands and forbidden tastings. Madonie Travel Service recreates this atmosphere for visitors, involving some Madonite families, who will teach them how to knead bread.
