Welcome to Petralia Sottana, which in addition to being the headquarters of the Madonie Travel Service, is also one of the most avant-garde villages in the Madonie. A UNESCO Geopark Heritage Site for its unique marine fossils at more than 1000 meters above sea level, it is also the Orange Flag of the Italian Touring Club. It will be possible to visit the entire historic center, rich in art and culture but also in anecdotes and curiosities. We will get to know the main churches that have different styles within them, from Baroque to sixteenth-century works, from Giandomenico Gagini to Zoppo di Gangi, two of the main artists of the Madonie. It will be possible to visit the Civic Museum “Antonio Collisani” with two sections, one archaeological and one geological, very rich in art and history. An unmissable stop will be the narrowest house in the world, built out of spite after a family argument.
